Sligo Town.

Sligo Museum & Art Gallery.

This little museum has many items of local interest on display, among these are a few letters of William Butler Yeats, and a copy of his Nobel Prize winning medal is on view together with a complete collection of his poems from 1889 to 1936.

Also memorabilia of Countess Markievicz, including the apron she wore while in Alyesbury prison.

Sligo’s rich Stone Age history forms the centrepiece of the most interesting exhibits on display here.
