Giant's Causeway & Bushmills Railway. The Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Railway runs between the town of Bushmills and the Giant's Causeway, the track is 3 ft. Climb on board for a nostalgic trip trip to the past.

Belturbet
Station.
Belturbet The station opened in October 1885 serving the local community faithfully until its closure in March 1959. It was owned by The Great Northern Railway, it was unusual in that it catered for both narrow and standard gauge tracks, you can read the history of Belturbet Station on their website.

Cavan and Leitrim Railway. The Cavan & Leitrim Railway was one of the most fascinating and at one time busiest of Ireland's narrow-gauge railways. Through the accident of its serving a coal field it remained open many years after most of the other 3 ft gauge lines closed, and in its last days made use of engines and rolling stock sent from these other closed systems. But though the railway had a long career, the predominant theme throughout its life was struggle. In the early years directors faced hostile public opinion and struggle vainly to extend their line to the Arigna coal fields. When the extension was finally built - at a time when the political temperature in Ireland was rising, the initiative was taken by the Government. Changes in the constitution of the Board in 1904 led to friction and some decisions were taken on 'party lines', not always to the best advantage of the Cavan & Leitrim.

Fintown
Railway.
The Fintown Railway is the only operational railway in Co. Donegal. Set amidst spectacular highland scenery overlooking Lough Finn, the railway (3 am/5km) is a restored section of the former County Donegal Railway. This setting prompted the famous international playwright Brian Friel to pronounce “What is on offer is a unique journey along the shores of a lake as grand as any in Switzerland or Minnesota”

Down Mini Rail. This charming miniature railway
is the result of The railway is located at Four Road Ends, where the Bangor to Carrowdore Road meets the B172 Newtownards to Milllisle Road. If you would like to join the society and help with the day to day running and maintaince, they are currently looking for new members. |

Barbers Shop & Railway Museum.
A The association between the barbers shop and the railway theme was inspired through the family's interest in local railway history. Customers enjoy the professional hairstyling, friendly atmosphere and unique opportunity to be surrounded with a feast of railway memorabilia. On the Headhunters website you can listen to some nostalgic railway poetry.

Hells Kitchen Railway Museum
& Bar.
The Museum is located adjacent to Hells Kitchen Bar in Castlerea County Roscommon, Ireland. The Museum boasts the Largest Private Collection of Rail Memorabilia in Ireland. The pride of this collection is an A55 Diesel Locomotive fully and lovingly restored. Also on display are bells, lamps, shunting poles, signal equipment, staffs, station boards, etc. We also have a T.V monitor for viewing archival material. The whole project cost £150,000 and we are very grateful for the grant aid of £35,000 which we received from the Roscommon Enterprise Board. .

Waterford & Suir Valley Railway Company.
The Waterford and Suir Valley Railway Company is a community heritage project with charitable status ref: chy 13857. The project has enabled the magic of rails golden age to be brought to life in Kilmeadan. A heritage narrow gauge railway runs along 12 kilometres of the abandoned Waterford - Dungarvan line. Experience the beauty of the Suir Valley from a period carriage as you take in the panoramic views of the river, rolling farmland and mountains. The track runs mostly along the picturesque banks of the River Suir offering views of the world famous Mount Congreve Gardens and the recently discovered site of a Viking settlement at Woodstown. This is an area rich in history and only accessible by train.

Fry Model Railway.
The Fry Model Railway is a unique collection of handmade models of Irish trains, from the beginning of rail travel to modern times. One of the world’s largest miniature railways, the exhibition is unique in that it is a working railway covering an area of 2,500 sq. feet.
