Operated under the personal supervision of the owner's, Alma & Michael Byrne, Butterfly Farm offers the ideal conditions and encouragement to get started, or to expand your knowledge, in the exciting world of horses and ponies.

Individual attention is assured and careful attention to the comfort, care and safety of even the youngest rider is the foremost priority of the centers management. Group lessons at all levels from beginner to advanced, as well as specialised private coaching in show jumping and dressage.

Disabled riders, with special needs, are warmly welcomed and can be accommodated. All instructors are qualified through examining bodies recognised by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (A.I.R.E.).

The proprietors of Butterfly Farm are fully qualified B.H.S. instructors and continue to update their qualifications on an ongoing basis. Other certification attained by the management include E.F.I coaching awards, E.F.I code of conduct & child protection, I.P.P.A., O.C.C.P., occupational first aid and special needs teaching.

Cross country treks, beach rides (competent riders only), hacking, forest trails, riding lessons with horses & ponies provided and private coaching for horse owners.

Pony camps are held during summer and Easter school holidays. Camps are occasionally scheduled during mid-term breaks depending on demand.
